Dr. Cooper received her medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine four years after graduating undergraduate university magna cum laude.
By 2004, she had completed her Psychiatry Residency and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center, and was the recipient of the outstanding teaching award given by the Cornell medical students. Dr. Cooper joined the faculty of Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2005, where she is currently Assistant Professor in Psychiatry, and is a frequent lecture on substance use disorders and wellness.
