POLICIES
Session Frequency and Duration
The evaluation is two sessions, one full hours and another 45 min session. Subsequent sessions are 45 minutes, except for couples and family sessions, which are one hour. The frequency of the session is dependent on the type of treatment. Patients are primarily seen for therapy, with or without medicaton.

Telemedicine sessions are available through a HIPAA-compliant portal in prearranged circumstances. Telemedicine is not conducted via the telephone.

Please note: Dr. Cooper is unable to prescribe medications unless she has seen you in the last three months. Prescriptions for controlled substances are only given in person monthly, or less frequently, if appropriate.
Payment
The payment is due at the time of the session, and an active Mastercard or Visa must be kept within the payment portal. All sessions are billed manually, and you will not be charged without notification.
Check or cash is also accepted
Telemedicine
Telemedicine sessions are prescheduled and determined by Dr. Cooper. Telemedicine sessions and in person sessions are on specific days and the schedule cannot be easily switched. Therefore, if a patient is interested in changing the session platform, they must inquire 48 business hours prior to the session.
Receipts
A text link for the Superbill is sent with each charge.
Insurance
Insurance is not accepted. However, you can submit your receipts to your insurance company and most often get partial reimbursement. Your insurance company can give you more details about your plan. Please call with questions about the session fee.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation is required two business days in advance. For example, if your appointment is on a Monday, the latest you can cancel and not be billed is Thursday at your appointment time.
Medication refills
Please leave all requests for medication refills on the portal, with your name, date of birth, medication and dose. The medication will be refilled within 48 hours.
Communications
For reasons of confidentiality, Dr. Cooper does not use email or text in her practice. Patients can communicate directly with a HIPAA complaint direct messaging portal
